I will never forget the first time I spotted a Mountain Bluebird, I had just summited Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Dashing in and out of the boulders above 12,000 ft of elevation, the vibrant blue bird could not be missed. Several months later, while visiting Yellowstone National Park, I was afforded yet more encounters with of one nature’s most stunning little birds.
